Tillary Park Foundation - Tillary Park Pro Hoops (TPF - TPPH)

McLaughlin Park, in downtown Brooklyn, New York, affectionately known as "Tillary Park," is the site of a nationally known summer basketball tournament as well as many outreach programs that support community members of all ages. The tournament and community programs have been produced for the past fifteen years by the Tillary Park Foundation - Tillary Park Pro Hoops, a non-for-profit 501c3 organization, founded by Brooklyn resident Daryl Barlow. In 2006 McLaughlin Park was awarded a 3 million dollar grant from the Brooklyn City Council to support the betterment of its facilities. However, additional funding is needed to fully transform "Tillary Park" into a safe, beautified center for multi-cultural community activities.

TPF - TPPH contacted Jane Rubin, Creative Director of TOTALVIEW Marketing, to consult on, write and design the funding proposal, which Jane completed in January, 2007. Additionally, seeing the deteriorated state of the children's playground equipment in Tillary Park, Jane also shot a photo essay for the proposal, to foreground the unsafe condition of this equipment.
